DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT today released images and information announcing the debut issue for the first Battlestar Galactica mini-series event Battlestar Galactica: Cylon Apocalypse scheduled for a February release! This exciting all-new BSG adventure is written by the successful writer/producer of “Lost” and “Medium” Javier Grillo-Maruach with art by Battlestar veteran Carlos Rafael.
Dynamite stated, “Battlestar buffs have been asking for more Starbuck, Apollo and the original crew for over twenty-five years. Our ongoing Classic BSG series has brought the original crew back to the fans and into the sci-fi mainstream, and now our first spin-off mini-series event is really going to get things fraking started in a big way.
Written by none other than the television writer and producer Javier Grillo-Maruach- if you don’t recognize the name, you most certainly know his work on hit shows like “Lost” and “Medium”. The Classic Battlestar era is a great arena for a creative talent like Javier to have some fun and tell an innovative and imaginative adventure. Additionally, fans will be happy to know that Javier’s Cylon Apocalypse is being brought to life by the artistic talents of Carlos Rafael, the man responsible for the interiors of the ongoing Classic BSG series.
